Easy Decorator Frosting
2 cups shortening
8 cups of powdered sugar (1 pkg)
1/2 cup water
2 tsp vanilla
Mix together 1/2 cup of shortening, 1/2 cup water, vanilla and 2 cups of
powdered sugar in mixing bowl of power mixer. Beat until well combined.
Alternate 1/2 cup of shortening and 2 cups of powdered sugar mixing well in
between. Whip after ingredients are all incorporated. Add small amounts of water
gradually if frosting is too stiff until desired consistency is reached.
Fill a decorator bag fitted with a large tip and swirl onto cupcakes to look
like the bakery cupcakes. This makes enough frosting to ice a two layer 9" cake,
or a 9x13 sheet cake with additional decorations around the edges.
