Make gravy for the whole family!!
I recommend that the recipe be tested before the holiday meal so results can be
adjusted if necessary.
3 tbsp Laurel’s Baking Flour Mix
Turkey drippings from pan
Gluten-free broth or water
Strain pan drippings through a metal sieve into a glass measuring cup or
heatproof bowl after removing turkey from pan. Allow to cool slightly so fat
will rise to the top. Skim fat by tilting the measuring cup and spooning off the
oily liquid. Keep all the drippings, reserve 1/4 cup of fat (optional).
Add broth or water to drippings to equal 2 cups of liquid. In a medium saucepan
on medium heat, combine drippings and fat. Mix 3 tbsp of Laurel’s Baking Flour
Mix with 3 tbsp of water or broth in a separate bowl until flour is well
combined and there are not any lumps. Pour flour mixture into saucepan stirring
constantly. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, reduce heat to low and
continue cooking 1—2 minutes more. Season to taste. Makes 2 cups (8 servings).
